Rubab gives classes at full speed in Hunerkada

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – October 3, 2021): A famous instrument among the Rubab ‘classes of the younger generation is in full swing at the Hunerkada College of Visual and Performing Arts.

The courses aim to hone the skills of young talent in playing the centuries-old stringed musical instrument.

Speaking to APP, Hunerkada Director Amna Shah said, “We offered various courses in a new session where the famous ‘RUBAB’ instrument conducted two days a week (Friday-Saturday).

She said the training session was delivered by renowned instructors and musicians to the young performers who would help them master the skills to showcase their hidden talent.

Hunerkada is a place to learn classical music and various instruments like rubab, piano, guitar and many other instruments.

Rubab teaches classes for beginners or those who want to learn Indian classical music for rubab, she added.

Music lessons could also be taken online via Skype and also physically during individual lessons held at the academy.

The whole learning course would last six months during which an individual would be able to understand the complete music theory including both Western and Indian classical theory, as well as learning different ragas (a melodic framework for the improvisation and composition) to play on rubab.
